Daily Bible reading Psalm 40:1-4 (KJV)
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Sometimes life throws us what would seem a curve ball. When David wrote this psalm, he was going through a tough time. Israel was going through a tough time as well. King david was known as being “after God’s own heart.”
He believed God had a plan of victory each time he found a hurdle in life. In our lives, there seems to be a constant mountain standing in our way to victory. However, like David, we have to believe that Jesus is there with us, ready to pull us out of the mud and set our feet on a rock.
What is this rock? Jesus is that rock. Will you trust him today? I claim victory in each one of your lives today. Stand in agreement with me today. Where two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name, that is ALWAYS where he will be.
Daily Prayer: Father God, time of tragedy has struck. But I will trust in you to fix this. You are always there when I need you and I know you are here now. I put this situation at your feet today. This is your battle, not mine. In Jesus Name, AMEN and AMEN!
